Kiwanis Student of the Month is Kilian Schroeder-Kelsey!

Reminder- We still have several families/students who have not completed their Annual Acknowledgements online including the Lunch Form. PLEASE get those in ASAP! Here’s the link for the benefits form online- https://www.skschools.org/departments/food-and-nutrition-services

No smoking policy – Remember that Discovery is a no smoking/tobacco zone. This includes e-cigarettes and vaporizers. These are not to be used while on campus. Smoking violation will result in: (1) a verbal warning, (2) a student will be sent home for the day, and (3) a student’s class schedule will be adjusted.

A Phoenix Card may be purchased with cash or credit card in the Discovery office for $30. This card gets you a campus parking pass, covers the cost of the coffee in Corey’s room, as well as snacks. If you need a parking pass, please bring your Driver’s License, Registration, and Proof of Insurance to Shiela in the office and she will get one for you. For the safety of yourself and others please remember to drive very slowly when leaving the parking area. 5 mph will do the trick. Thank you for thinking of others!

We are offering Anxiety and Emotional Regulation Workshops during lunch starting on Tuesday, October 1st (for Monday/Tuesday Students) and Friday, October 4th (for Thursday/Friday Students). This will be hosted by Mindy from One Heart Wild in Room J2. (You'll grab your lunch and head to the classroom)

Teen Talking Circle Do you need a place to be seen and heard without judgement? Come participate in the safe space of circle, where you can openly share your feelings and experiences and listen compassionately. Circle is an opportunity to connect with yourself and to build relationships. Together, we will create a restorative place in a world that can often be overwhelming and frantic. Wednesdays 1pm to 3pm in C4 at Discovery. If interested in participating, commit to weekly attendance for the school year beginning October 2^nd. New Club at Discovery!

Queer-Straight Alliance Meetings will be at 1:15pm-1:45pm and be held in J2 (Dave’s Phoenix Time students will work in Robyn’s classroom). The meetings will be held for Monday/Tuesday on the 1^st and 3^rd Tuesday of the month- October 1^st and 15^th; and for Thursday/Friday on the 1^st and 3^rd Thursday of the month- October 3^rd and 17^th. D-Rod and Robyn encourage any and all students to attend and be a part of Discovery QSA! Open to students of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
