YOUTH COURT is a youth-led courtroom experience where students take on all of the roles you would find in a courtroom- Judge, Jury, Defense, Prosecution, Clerk and Bailiff. The youth hear actual cases involving first-time offenders and misdemeanor offenses, and they help determine an appropriate outcome. YOUTH COURT is on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:30 PM.
Please come be a part of our YOUTH COURT and join our informational meeting on 9/16/2026 @ 4:00 PM at the Kitsap County Juvenile Court – 1338 SW Old Clifton Rd. Port Orchard, WA 98367. This kickoff/training will include a tour of the Juvenile Detention Center.
Several speakers will talk about what to expect and how you can be part of this year’s YOUTH COURT. This is a great way to learn about the court system, make a difference in your community, help guide teens who have made poor choices and connect with amazing adults who are guiding you through the process each month. Youth court is only a once-a-month commitment and will be a great asset to any scholarship / college applications.
If you would like more information please speak with Erin in the office. She will be attending the meeting on September 16, 2026.
Any students who are interested in adding Cassidy's 6th period Psychology class to their existing scheduleare invited to talk with their advisors. This class meets from 1:15 until 2:15 and students will need to arrange their own transportation after class. This is not an independent course, work is done in class. Psychology is a social studies elective class. It may also count as general elective.
