Our mission is to provide a supportive, flexible educational process in which alternative students with individual needs learn to become successful and productive citizens. 

Vision
Our vision is to remain committed to developing individuals who will earn a diploma and achieve a successful career. They value family, community, and citizenship, consisting of self-respect, self-esteem, and tolerance for others. They are lifelong learners who self- evaluate and take personal responsibility.

At Discovery High School, we are proud of the options our programs offer to our families and students in particular. We pride ourselves as an option that students in the South Kitsap School District can choose if they believe they will be more successful and meet their goal of graduation and college readiness.

We are proud that through our work last year we have once again been approved for accreditation by the Association of Education Service Districts and will continue our work to get better every year by setting goals that we strive to achieve. School improvement is continuous hard work; however the benefits of the process and outcomes, as well as the goals and action plan will provide the framework for our alternative programs and will ensure that all students become successful and productive citizens ready for college and career.

We will be working hard this year to implement programs like AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) and Bridges to College to ensure students have every opportunity to achieve success.
