Quick Reminder Regarding Appropriate Halloween Attire

If you feel inspired to spook up your wardrobe,

please remember to cover up your body appropriately and no face coverings or face makeup.

Every Litter Bit Helps!
Students should find a trash can to place their garbage after breakfast or lunch. There is trash being left in the student parking lot, especially in the back by the trees and fence line. Also, D-Rod’s PE class picked up A LOT of lunch garbage left on the ground by Orchard Heights next to the road. Not a good look Discovery Phoenix! Let’s work harder to be better.

Student voters - you should have received your ballot by now. Any students who have questions about how to mark the ballot or how to access your voter's pamphlet, to read about the issues and candidates, please see Cassidy any time.

All voting students are invited to participate in Discovery's first annual "Walk the Vote" which will happen next week! On Tuesday 10/27 and on Friday 10/30, we will walk from Discovery to our nearest ballot drop box - which is just one block away at the fire station. Bring your ballot and cast your vote! Students may participate in "Walk the Vote" whether you are able to vote yet or not.
After we deposit our ballots we will come back for some snacks in Cassidy's room. See you there! Wear your red, white, and blue!

Discovery is a “closed” campus with the exception of lunch. Students are expected to remain on campus once they have arrived. Students who choose to go off campus for lunch must return prior to 4th block class beginning. Also students must remain on campus during Phoenix time.

IMPORTANT TASK FOR ALL FAMILIES!

This is a vital task we are asking every family to complete ASAP.

Dear Families,

It’s that time of year again—Impact Aid Survey time!  Please take a moment to complete this form as soon as possible! Students, we need your help to tell your Guardian to complete this survey, and if you are your own guardian, you need to do it now please.

Link with directions: How to Complete the Impact Aid Program Survey

Why does it matter? Impact Aid brings important federal funding into our schools, helping support the programs, services, and resources our students use every day. And here’s the really important part: we need EVERY family to respond!

Even if you are not active-duty military and even if you do not work on federal property, please don’t skip the survey. We still need you to answer the questions so we can account for every student and ensure our information is complete and accurate.

It’s quick, it’s easy, and your response truly helps!

Every survey counts—and every response helps support our schools and students.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to help us bring valuable funding back to our district!
